Flexibility MedSpeech presents the user with two methods of dictation. Digital dictation with transcription and Speech Recognition which converts the recorded dictation directly to text, thus eliminating the need for manual transcription.
Connection To Hospital Information Systems MedSpeech easily integrates seamlessly into any medical system, passing patient data to MedSpeech to eliminate typing more than once.
High Security MedSpeech is based on Microsoft SQL-server with the focus on large volumes of dictations, yet still maintaining a high level of security and performance. This makes the system far more secure than traditional tape-based systems or local implementations of digital dictation.
User Friendly The interface is easy to use providing the author and transcriptionist the ability to prioritise and make additions and changes prior to transcription.
Speech Recognition Built on Philips SpeechMagic sound is converted into text in real time with every user having their own profile to better adapt to each users unique way of speaking. The user automatically "teaches" the software to better understand and interpret words and pronunciations. With SpeechMagic the world's leading medical vocabularies come ready to use.
Speech Recognition Benefits The time taken for information to be entered is greatly reduced and as soon as it is signed off, the dictation is sent into the system eliminating delays
Flexibilty The user always has the choice as to whether to use Speech Recognition or transcription.
Easy Set Up of Authorisations Each user can have a unique authorisation to access different dictations. For example a transciptionist might be authorised to open and read dictations from several departments, whilst a doctor may only be authorised to listen to dications made by their department.
Manage Workload The advantage of several departments or hospitals using the same centralised system, is the ability to manage workload amongst a number of transciptionists
